For Jira Service Management
Know your customer got the email.
ProofMail sends your service desk's emails to customers from your own domain. Every ticket shows whether each email was delivered, bounced or marked as spam.

What your team sees on every ticket.
"I never got your email."
When a customer says that, Jira Service Management can't tell you whether the email arrived. Its email log only lists sends that failed, keeps them for 21 days, and only project admins can see it.
ProofMail records every email it sends and what happened to it. Your agents see the answer on the ticket, in plain words, without leaving Jira.
Everything a customer email should do
Proof on every ticket
Delivered, bounced or marked as spam, with the time and the reason. No digging through mail logs.
From your own domain
Emails come from support@yourcompany.com and are signed so mail providers trust them. Start on our address while you set up yours.
Any field, any plan
Put any ticket field in your emails: request type, urgency, your own custom fields. It works on the Free plan too, where JSM's emails can't be changed at all.
Replies land on the ticket
Customers just hit reply. Their answer goes to your JSM email address and lands on the same ticket, like it always has.
Hi Alex,
Sam replied to your request:
Please switch the printer off at the wall. A technician will be there by 10am.
Urgency: High · Status: In progress · Reference HELP-142

Your words, your fields, your domain. The ticket key in the subject keeps replies on the right ticket.
Set up in minutes
-
Install ProofMail
Add it to your Jira site from the Atlassian Marketplace.
-
Choose who emails come from
Start straight away on our sending address. When you're ready, add three DNS records and send from your own domain. ProofMail shows you the records and checks them.
-
Switch off JSM's matching emails
So customers don't get two of each. ProofMail tells you exactly which switches to turn off. Approval emails stay with JSM, because they carry the approve and decline buttons.
The full guide is on the setup page.
Pricing
Free for small teams.
Bigger teams pay a fair per-user price, billed by Atlassian with your other apps. No contracts, and you can stop any time.
Prices go live with the Marketplace listing. Ask for early access and we'll tell you first.
Your data stays put
- ProofMail runs on Atlassian's Forge platform. Its email log and your settings are stored by Atlassian, alongside your Jira site.
- Only the email itself leaves Atlassian. It's sent through Amazon's email service in Sydney, and Amazon tells us whether it was delivered.
- We don't track whether customers open your emails.
- No ads, no selling data, and no AI reading your tickets.
The details are in our privacy policy.
Questions
Does ProofMail replace JSM's email channel?
No. Customers still email your JSM address, and JSM turns those emails into tickets and comments as usual. ProofMail sends the emails that go out to customers.
Which emails does ProofMail send?
Request received, replies from your team, and status changes. Approval emails stay with JSM.
What does "Delivered" mean?
The customer's email provider accepted the email. It doesn't promise they read it, but it ends the "it never arrived" argument. If an email bounces, you see why, such as a typo in the address or a full mailbox.
What if a customer's email address is hidden?
Some people hide their email address in their Atlassian profile. ProofMail doesn't email them, just like JSM, and the ticket says so.
Which plans does it work with?
Jira Service Management Cloud: Free, Standard, Premium and Enterprise.
Who makes ProofMail?
Stray Anchor Pty Ltd, a small software company in Perth, Western Australia. Email support@proofmail.app and a real person answers.
